How to write -- and write from -- an elevator pitch

Novelist Beth Barany offered some tips recently at The Book Designer for writing your “elevator pitch.”

While, yes, it’s often used for pitching a book to an agent, it also proved extremely helpful to Barany as a way to prepare herself to write the novel she was going to pitch.
