When LifeWay Christian Resources announced it was closing all of its bookstores last month, it was the largest Christian bookstore chain — a title it claimed thanks to the 2017 closure of Family Christian’s bookstores.

But publishing industry experts told Forbes that writers in that genre don’t need to panic.

Religious, spiritual, and motivational works are actually seeing growth, and the segment of the U.S. population that considers itself religious also considers itself passionate about reading, according to the experts quoted in the article.
