Kristine Kathryn Rusch turns from licensing in to licensing out today, and man, if you read just one post about striking deals, this should be it.

The key takeaways are:

  • To make sure you figure out what you want from a deal (and of course Rusch has advice on how to determine that).

  • Not to let money be the heart of the deal (though it can and should be a part of the deal).

  • And to realize that when someone approaches you with a deal, it means you have something they want.
