We didn’t share the viral Medium post about the author who signed two contracts worth a total of $350,000 and, today, has nothing.

But you surely saw it, since it was viral, and today Kristine Kathryn Rusch is here with her take on it.

The post itself and the reactions to it helped Rusch realize she should start dividing authors into three groups — trad-pub, day-job indies, and business indies — rather than just the two.

Rusch explains the distinction between the groups and, of course, the benefits of being in the business-indie crowd, in her latest business musings post.
