We hope this Writer Beware post isn’t coming too late for any of our followers.

Victoria Strauss highlights some problematic small print in the details of the Sunday Times Audible Short Story Award, which gives £30,000 (about $38,900) to its winner.

Her primary concerns with this contest center on how it takes licensing rights away from writers. Not just the winner, who certainly stands to lose quite a bit, but other entrants.

And if you’ve been keeping up on Kristine Kathryn Rusch’s posts, you’ll know just how keeping your IP rights can do for you.
