Do you have a “top international reviews” tab on your Amazon books yet?

Nate Hoffelder at The Digital Reader has noticed, as many of you have, that reviews posted on Amazon's UK and Canadian websites are now showing up on Amazon.com and being factored into overall star ratings.

He points out that more international integration is in the works, since there’s an option to translate reviews to English.

(We snickered at his subsequent observation: “Given the limitations of translation software, this plan is doomed, but it's going to be fun to read the gibberish generated by Amazon's auto-translators.”)

Not all authors are seeing the results yet, nor are the new reviews consistently appearing on series lists and also-bought sections.

Read a bit more about the review merger at The Digital Reader or on a recent Kboards thread.
