Susan DeFreitas, an award-winning author, editor, and book coach, has shared the third installment of a seven-part series on developing a writing practice.

She took inspiration from a book called Stick with It: A Scientifically Proven Process for Changing Your Life—For Good and is adapting it to benefit authors, specifically.

Today, DeFreitas discusses why you might want to remind yourself that you find writing to be important.

It might seem easier, during a period of social distancing, to find the time to write.

But writing itself isn’t easy, and challenging tasks can be, well, challenging to start — or the coronavirus pandemic may have added more work and stress to your plate.

So in addition to explaining why you need to declare that writing is important, DeFreitas shares ways in which you can demonstrate how much you value it.
