As we spend just about every waking hour, every day, with the members of our immediate household, we’re having to remind ourselves not to expect them to read our minds when it comes to our needs.
The same can be said of writing fiction, subbing in “readers” for “household members.”
Nathan Bransford knows it’s not easy to put yourself in a reader’s shoes and truly determine whether your descriptions are clear enough.
