Nonfiction writers, it seems, have either not been hearing the calls to offer audio versions or have been ignoring them.

Stephanie Chandler was shocked to find out that, despite eight straight years of double-digit growth in the audio sector, less than 20 percent of nonfiction authors are offering audio versions.

She discovered there were three main reasons that nonfiction writers were avoiding audio — and turned to audiobook publisher Tina Dietz for the counterpoints.
