Authors who list their books with Audible, take note: the company is, as The Digital Reader put it, actively encouraging exchanges to possible subscribers.

Nate Hoffelder has several screen grabs of places where Audible assures consumers that they can give any audiobook back to Audible, receive their credit back, and then use that credit to acquire another audiobook — with no further money headed into the company (and, thus, to authors).

Hoffelder and other authors are concerned that this could encourage serial returnees, so if you’re in Audible or considering it, keep an eye on this policy and its repercussions.
