It’s been said before, but it’s also worth saying again: book promotion is a marathon, not a sprint.

Sharon Bially, the founder and president of BookSavvy PR, shared that reminder in a guest post on Writer Unboxed.

While the timeline she links to isn’t necessarily going to fit all authors (including, as it does, references to publicists), her advice on marketing mindset applies across the board.
