The Alliance of Independent Authors has not forgotten about AudibleGate.

In fact, it’s begun a series to educate (and, yes, to rally) authors about the business side of audiobooks through Amazon.

The first installment came out over the weekend; it’s written by Susan May, whose early and thorough analysis helped lead the pushback, and it encourages even those who use other audiobook distribution sources to join the AudibleGate campaign.

The second installment, written by CPA (and thriller author) Colleen Cross, explains how Audible pays the authors and narrators that use it – or at least how Cross and other financially savvy people understand the payment calculations to work.
