Author Julianna Baggott doesn’t just love writing — she loves thinking about writing and the people who do it, especially prolifically.
She readily acknowledges that a survey she did on the creative process of other writers isn’t formally scientific, but after receiving a hundred responses, she found the results interesting enough to share.
In particular, Baggott found certain mindset and psychological similarities in the responses of high-producing writers that might not be as obvious as, say, how they think about creative projects while working on other tasks.
You can see the trends from her writing process survey in a post at Writer Unboxed, which also ends with the survey itself, if you’d like to see (or take) it yourself.
