Our readers have told us that a summer read can be light or serious, fictional or factual, short or long — basically, it can be anything.

And especially in a year that’s still not fully normal, Penny Sansevieri agrees.

Whether they need something during their travels or something for a staycation, readers are ready to pick up books for the summer, so you should adjust your marketing accordingly, she says.

Sansevieri suggests a few ways to refresh your book’s Amazon listing to draw in readers seeking some summer entertainment.
