Need a pep talk that’s also immensely practical? Kristine Kathryn Rusch is here to help.

Her latest installment of the fear-based decision making series focuses on the creative types who are the bravest: indie writers.

Bravest doesn’t mean they’re never fearful, though.

Rush discusses how FOMO — the fear of missing out — can harm indie writers, both in terms of their mental state and in their decision making.

Specifically, she urges authors to keep everything in perspective, from your perception of other “more successful” writers to any sales fluctuations.

Read Rusch’s take on FOMO in indie writers over at her blog.
