Some of Kelsey Allagood’s favorite authors — and perhaps some of yours, too — have warned against tackling hugely ambitious writing projects too early.

Their fear is that a less experienced author might grow discouraged by the struggle and become burned out.

Allagood is here, though, to argue against this advice and share her own experience doing so.

In her opinion, there’s value in pushing your limits and challenging yourself, even if — as she ultimately ended up doing — you end up setting that writing project aside without publishing it.

Allagood explains more about why she believes writers should take on their dream projects, no matter how ambitious, in a post for Writer Unboxed.
