Being told to write *another* book when you've just barely finished the one (and have to keep marketing it!) might feel like a cruel joke.

That's part of a career author's reality, though, so instead of lamenting it, it's better to deal with it.

Author Sarah McCoy speaks from experience, as someone who has heard "what's next?" as the current book made its way out into the world — and who couldn't even bluff that she had a "next" plan.

She's identified a few sources of creative inspiration, fortunately, and shares them at Writer Unboxed.
