The Alliance of Independent Authors sees some positive developments in the publishing world.
While Dan Holloway was taken aback at the abrupt changes at Storytel, following the CEO's resignation, he's now a little more optimistic with the announcement of a new hire.
He thinks the selection of Johannes Larcher, who oversaw HBO Max's launch in global markets, points to similarly ambitious expansion for the audiobook company.
Holloway also feels good about Twitter's announcement that it's adding podcasts to its Spaces feature, because many writers are comfortable with Twitter as a tool — meaning, hopefully, that those interested in podcasting will feel encouraged to try it.
