Author/editor/book coach Susan DeFreitas doesn't dispute that talent and skill are useful qualities in a writer.

But in her opinion, grit is the most important quality in bringing a writer success.

That is, a willingness to persist in the face of difficulty, but not blind persistence — one with wisdom and humility.

DeFreitas shares the three ways in which an author's grit will lead them to publishing success in a guest post for Jane Friedman's blog.

According to me both deep knowledge, grit as well as the right perspective is required for writing as well as dedication and ofcourse of time.
