It's time to catch up on Joanna Penn's expert interviews, now that the holiday week is over.

First came Dorie Clark, an author (among many other professions), who discussed how authors can think and plan for the long term.

Then came John Truby, the founder and director of Truby's Writers Studio, who talked about understanding — and mixing — genres, along with other aspects of storytelling.

Both interviews are available as transcripts and audio on The Creative Penn.
