And yeah, we post our fair share of that on our blog.
So here's the flip side of that trend: cinematic techniques that don't play nearly as well in written text.
Writer and editor Lincoln Michel has identified three in particular over the past few years: too much focus on faces, an avoidance of summary in scenes, and cluttered visual detail.
