Proactive and reactive tips for authentic dialogue

Editor Sandra Wendel, like probably every other writing expert ever, wants authors to ensure their dialogue sounds authentic.

And we loved that her recent post on the matter offered tips for both the before and after.

Her Medium post suggests that writers keep their ears open in real-life situations and that they act out their dialogue (in the privacy of their own homes) to test how real it actually sounds.
