Even if you don't have a co-writer, chances are you'll need to work with someone else, at some point, in order to produce the best book possible.
Author Diane Byington, for example, wasn't able to use the particular image she initially wanted for the cover of her novel Louise and Vincent.
But the collaboration with a cover designer left her just as thrilled as she would've been with the original vision.
You may, of course, decide you do want a co-writer ... and it's possible that person could be a family member.
