I’m happy to announce The Fussy Librarian has launched seven more newsletters that will give your bargain ebooks additional promotion.

Our promotion window for bargain ebooks (99 cents to $5.99) used to be two days — the day the email went out and the day afterwards. Now it’s 30 days — and it won’t cost you anything extra.

Four of the newsletters are aimed at non-Kindle readers, who get frustrated to open the newsletter and find they can’t read 80% of the titles because they are Kindle exclusive.

So our new Apple Books newsletter is exclusively Apple Books. Same for our newsletters for Nook, Kobo, and Google Play.

The other three are aimed at Kindle readers who don’t want a daily newsletter: one for mystery and thrillers, a second for romance, and a third for science fiction/fantasy.

Each has subgenre options that can be fine-tuned by readers. So, for example, if a reader only wants cozy mysteries, they’ll get all of our cozy mystery titles from the past month.

How it works: Every Tuesday and Friday, our software looks at past bargain promotions going back 30 days and then adds them to these newsletters until there are 40 books. If a book is no longer on sale, but is still $5.99 or less, it will list the book at its regular price.

(That’s why it’s very important to list accurate sale dates when filling out the forms, and also to include non-Kindle titles only if they are $5.99 or less.)

We expect most books to get four or five additional promotion spots — it will depend on the volume of books submitted. But some books could get up to nine additional promotions.

We’re committed to growing these newsletters; marketing is starting now, and we have been saving up for several months to make sure we have money for advertising. We would be grateful if you could share this news with your readers.

We also encourage you to sign up for a few of them to see what they’re like (get started here).

Thank you for your business during the past year and best wishes for 2025! There’s even more to come from us, but we’ll save those surprises for later this year.

Hi Jeffery, I just wanted to let you know that I ran an ad for Far Away Home on January 21st and an ad for Embrace the Wind on January 31st. The books' sales soared for 4-5 days after the initial ad. In the past, I had a bump for 2 days or so, but I was very please with the January sales. I don't know if the newsletters helped, but I will definitely run more ads in the future. Thanks for all you do to help us promote our books.
