The publishing experts we follow have plenty of advice to offer, spanning a variety of topics.

Here are the ones that we thought were can't-miss for our authors:

  • Why bother writing a good book?: Greer Macallister often hears complaints that the best-selling books aren't even well written, so she offers three counterarguments to authors who believe this and feel unmotivated to write because of it (Writer Unboxed).

  • Coping mechanism thesaurus entry: The first installment in this addresses why and how a character might self-medicate, along with what might prompt them to fix the root cause behind their behavior (Writers Helping Writers).

  • Proof is profitable: This Self-Publishing Advice Conference highlight shares how you can use reviews, contests, and awards to drive reader engagement and sales (Alliance of Independent Authors).
