Author David Kudler thought he had the best practices for Kindle Direct Publishing keywords down pat.

Then another writer mentioned an experiment she’d done with KDP.

She’d suspected that the search engine, rather than looking at the KDP keywords as natural-language phrases, was simply looking at all of the words she’d entered.

She ran a test for Kudler on the spot, and lo and behold, the theory held up.

Kudler went home and made adjustments to his keywords, and once again, the results seemed to support their new approach.
