Joanna Penn has another expert interview, this time with a police detective.

Adam Richardson, in addition to working in the field, hosts the Writer's Detective Bureau Podcast and has written Writer's Detective Handbook: Criminal Investigation for Authors and Screenwriters.

Among the tips he provided during his conversation with Penn: what writers get right (and wrong) about police work, how different personalities serve different roles in law enforcement, an explanation of how jurisdiction affects crimes, and tips for interrogation room scenes.

Read a transcript or listen to the whole interview on The Creative Penn.
