We shared The Digital Reader’s concerns about Audible’s return and exchange policy earlier.
Nate Hoffelder isn’t the only one sounding an alarm, though.
Author Susan May is joining him — and loudly.
May suspects that these author-unfriendly return policies have been in place for quite some time and that many writers didn’t notice because the net sales are what’s reported, not sales and returns, individually.
May has an extremely detailed post on the Audible sales data and return issue on her blog, and Writer Beware (which alerted us to May’s post) also notes other writers and literary organizations that are looking to fight back.
