The controversy over how Audible pays out and reports royalties has certainly not subsided, and it’s also inspired other conversations about audiobook decisions.

The Alliance of Independent Authors has put out a number of posts and podcasts on these topics, so we thought we’d share a roundup with you.

CPA and thriller author Colleen Cross has added two more installments to ALLi's series on AudibleGate: one analyzing (and criticizing) the math behind Audible subscription earnings and one on whether authors should sell their audiobook rights.

And as you might expect, ALLi, which has expressed serious concerns over Audible’s terms, has been sharing information on alternative audiobook distributors, with recent posts mentioning Findaway Voices and StoryTel.
