Social media is a powerful tool for our personal and professional lives.

It’s not for everyone, however, and it certainly has its drawbacks even to those who use it frequently.

We’re not suggesting that everyone follow author Carol J. Michel’s example in signing off fully and permanently.

But we did think her story of successfully marketing books without relying on social media was worth sharing.
