The October edition of Desmond’s Drops pays special attention to the question of desire in characters.
In the first two videos, Desmond Hall explains why you need to establish your protagonist’s concrete desire and abstract desire and shares exercises to check your work (and fix it, if need be).
The other video explains why “grounding” your characters is important and how to do so beyond simply describing what the scene looks like.
