When Amazon shared five authors’ advice for using Kindle Vella, you may have — fairly — been a bit skeptical.

After all, it’s not like Amazon would share stories from dissatisfied writers, right?

We’re happy to share any cautionary tales from authors who haven’t found the serialized-story program to be beneficial at all, in the interests of providing useful information to you.

As for now, we have another post from an author who used it, but this time, it comes from Jane Friedman’s blog, courtesy of a writer who, in her words, has “a somewhat fraught relationship” with Amazon.
