The ancient storytelling technique that's even more valid today

You may not know what to call it or how to spell it, but you're familiar with the storytelling concept of in medias res.

That's where the story doesn't start at the beginning, per se — you skip the setup and go straight to an inciting incident.

It's been done in tales as old as The Iliad and The Odyssey, but the Kindlepreneur's Jason Hamilton argues that with modern readers' attention spans, it's even more relevant today.
