The Alliance of Independent Authors has a lot of news that will likely make your eyes roll in its weekly roundup.
Of course, many of those come from the Department of Justice's lawsuit to stop the merger of Penguin Random House and Simon & Schuster, which began last week.
Others come from the world of streaming services (HBO Max and Netflix, specifically).
But there are some lighter updates, like a writing contest opening to indies and Apple adding more promotional tools for authors.
