Earlier this month, author and editor Dave King expressed his love for a well-executed prologue.

Emphasis, of course, on "well-executed."

His fellow writers had plenty of feedback on his post — often, noting examples of prologues that didn't exactly work.

So King returned to the subject in his new post for Writer Unboxed, where he tackles weaknesses that can plague prologues.
