Finding someone to give you advice or feedback usually isn't too difficult.

Knowing who to trust and taking the plunge to bare your vulnerabilities are the tough parts.

And, of course, the funny thing about sharing tips to address these issues is that it can be contradictory, in a way ... but we'll go for it anyway.

In Jane Friedman's monthly Ask The Editor feature, a newer author asks one of her trusted sources (Friedman) how to sort through the cacaphony of writing advice and simply write.

(And how do you write without fear? Joanna Penn interviewed fellow author Rachael Herron to discuss how to write without judgment and write what matters.)

At Writer Unboxed, Kathleen McCleary discusses how she decides who can see her writing drafts, at what point they can see it, and how she handles the feedback she receives.
