Writer Unboxed’s two takes on rules

Writer Unboxed recently featured two different approaches to rules.

We started out with Greer Macallister, who describes how she kept an open mind to advice (related to eating habits, not writing) and discovered that this particular piece did work for her.

That isn't to say she advocates for following every single rule, but rather encourages you to maybe give a few tips a try.

On the other hand, Tiffany Yates Martin shares an illustrative example of a novel that doesn't follow the typical rules and yet, in her opinion, succeeds wildly.
