Indie authors might feel a bit smug as they dive deep into Kristine Kathryn Rusch’s latest business musings post.

In the first half of it, after all, she analyzes just how much of a disaster COVID-19 has been for traditional publishing, partly because of how the industry was structured in the firs place and partly because of how it has chosen to react to the crisis.

But, Rusch warns, don’t hurt yourself patting yourself on the back, if you’re an indie writer.

Yes, indies are better positioned to survive — and can even thrive — but no one in the US will be immune to the election storm.
