You’ve heard athletes declare that large portions of their particular sport are actually mental and not physical.

The same observation could very well be made about writing, too, in that your mindset, attitude, and thoughts can be just as powerful — if not more so — than your skill set and talent.

Two of our favorite writing experts have shared advice on this issue. 

Joanna Penn’s interview earlier this year with fellow author Sarah Painter covered, among more technical issues, how to change your mindset around marketing, how to acknowledging and resolve self-doubt, and how to handle others’ support (or lack thereof).

C.S. Lakin, meanwhile, wrote about how authors can develop a success mindset in order to overcome the variety of obstacles they might encounter.
