Editing is no small investment, and the check can feel extra painful if you're not satisfied with the result.

Editor Sandra Wendel has recently been alerted by book designers who have noticed textual issues in their clients' work.

Bad news for sure; even worse when you consider that designers are only casually glancing at the text, not focusing as intently as a reader will.

Wendel offers advice for authors who have realized their edit came up short, whether that's pre- or post-publication, at Medium.
