As an avowed to-do-list lover, I empathize with anyone reading Penny Sansevieri’s latest post asking if you’re doing marketing versus truly marketing.

The difference between the two is whether you’re giving serious thought to ways to connect with your readers and also building a brand (the case of the latter) versus having a tunnel vision of what you think you're supposed to be doing.
